Essay: Android vs Iphone

Smart phone is divided into android and iphone. Android and iphone is different from various aspects. They have not only merit, but also demerit. If you want to change new smart phone, you will research about smart phone a lot, because it may spend long time with you. We will show you comparison android and iphone.

 First, android has many manufacturers, for example, sony, sharp, samsun, etc. Those manufacturers make a lot of models, so you can choose what you like. Next, some people like android one-seg-receiving functions. Watching TV with one’s phone is very convenient for them because without TV, they can enjoy television program anywhere. What’s more, there is the smart phone which is waterproof. It is possible to watch television even in a place where humidity is high like a bathroom. In addition, it can use a SD card. If you often take photos and videos, capacity will become quiet full. It will be saved on a capacity side when the model that you can use a SD card. Also, android has big screen. Android is a mainstay of around 5 inches terminal,　people are easy to see large screen. They can watch Web page, e-mail and electronic book comfortably. 

 Although android has many good points, there are some bad points. It is different in the number of the buttons, placement, operability by a model because the android can develop a mobile carrier freely. Therefore, might have trouble a little to be used to new operability when people change a model. On the other hand, people who have iPhone come to be able to operate most of in the one-button of middle because the iPhone assumes is simple, making it a concept like iPad or iPod. This is a design that is consistent from the initial series of iPhone, it will probably not be troubled with even change models as appeared a new models.

 On the other hand, there are some merit and demerit of iphone. 

At first, one of the merits of iphone is cheeper than android. There are many types of android such as Xperia, AQUOS phone, Galaxy and so on. However, if you compare these android with iphone, you will find that iphone is cheeper than almost android. Also, iphone’s size is compact. A lot of android is getting bigger and bigger. Although iphone’s size is getting bigger a little too, iphone’s size is smaller than android now. In addition, each types of iphone are same design of the screen. If you buy new android which is different maker you had, you will struggle to get used to new one. However, because each types of iphone are same style, if you change new iphone, you will master new one soon. Therefore, iphone is easy to use. Also, there are many types of cover and case for iphone. You can enjoy various variations.

 One of the demerit of iphone is you can’t custom a lot. Although it is a good point that each types of iphone are same style, on the contrary, there are a lot of limitations. For example, iphone doesn’t have a function of widget. Also, iphone doesn’t have many functions such as infrared rays, waterproofing, Osaifu-Keitai and one seg. These functions are developed in Japan, so iphone doesn’t have these convenient functions. In addition, if you have some trouble about iphone, you have to go iphone shop. However, there is only one iphone shop in Kumamoto. It is very inconvenient.


In consequence, the difference between smart phones and iPhones is smart phone can have unique models in various models and customization by mounting the OS high degree of freedom as Android, high degree of perfection by Apple consistent concept of the iPhone. Both the iPhone and Android latest terminal is attractive. It is simple and is easy to use iPhone and suits all tastes at a balanced terminal. In contrast, Android has unique attractive, that is, the situation that plural companies compete and make an attractive product is desirable for consumers.

BR 2-05: Skyjack!

I read this book when I was a high school student. I like this story very much. This book is full of suspense story. A large plane is hijacked. The Prime Minister has to think and make a decision about what they should do. She was very disturbed at the list of passenger.  There is a name on the list that she knows very well. The person is her husband. The hijackers didn't know that, but if they know that he will be killed. If you are the Prime Minister, what are you do? I think I can't decide anything. The ending, there is a regret in my heart.

BR 2-04: The Snow Queen

"She is good and sweet and innocent. That will be all the magic she needs."(p.50)

I found this book in the library. I have read the snow queen when I was a little, but I didn't remember about story. This story tells me how important to believe myself and best friend. A girl who called Gerda helped her best friend, Kay who was caught by the snow queen. She is very bravery and has clean heart. I want to have pure heart like her. We must believe myself and go up against problem. I want to watch movie some day. I have found there is a movie of the snow queen in You Tube. I am looking forward to watch it.

BR 2-03: Magical Animals

"Thinks he's a god, huh? That's shown him!"(p17)

This book has four stories. In this book, mythical beasts, Pegasus, Chimera, griffin, cockatrice and unicorn, appeared. I don't know what cockatrice is. I heard it for the first time, but it is interesting story. I think this is good for children to learn magical animals another country. Do you know why Pegasus lives with the gods? There are interesting stories each mythical beast. You'll be able to know the wisdom and stupidity of human. If you are interested in mythical beast, I recommend this book.

Movie review: Romeo + Juliet

I watched the movie, Romeo + Juliet. I have never read or watched Romeo and Juliet, but I had known main part of this story.

This classic story of Romeo and Juliet is modern version. Leonardo DiCaprio acts the role of Romeo. He was very young in this movie because this is a 1996 American movie. Claire Danes plays the role of Juliet. The scene was city of Verona Beach, and there are two hostile families. These families' children meet and fall in love at a party. Juliet is from the House of Capulet, but Romeo is from the House of Montague. They have to make a secret of their love because they know that their parents will never allow their love. They are in torment because of their identity.

In the movie, Tybalt who is Juliet's cousin fought with Mercutio who is Romeo's best friend. At first, Tybalt challenged Romeo to fight, but Romeo refused to fight with him because of Juliet. So, Mercutio accepted the fight instead of Romeo. In the fight, Mercutio was wounded. Then, he said that "A pox on both your houses." I think he was right and what he said became true. I think he wanted to stop their strife because he didn't want to increase people who embroiled in conflict any more.

Of course, the most favorite scene is the last scene. Romeo heard about Juliet's death and he was shocked. He bought poison before going to the church. He didn't know that Juliet's death was a fake. He drank the poison when Juliet woke up. I think they are passing each other and misunderstanding. I think this was a true tragedy, and also Father Lawrence had cruel end.

I enjoyed watching this movie. I cannot see this movie without tears. I was moved very much. If I hear about a lover's death, I couldn't believe it. I may choose death or I probably lost my hope of living.

BR 2-02: A. Christmas Carol

"I'm as light as a feather, as merry as as school boy. Thank you, Marley! From now on, I'll keep Christmas in my heart all year round."(p.50)

This story is very interesting. I have not known this story until I became a university student. I picked this book because the season turns into winter. A man was very stingy person and ill-natured, so he was disliked by everyone. However, he is indebted to his previous worker for change his mind. I am very surprised that he had a cruel heart, and I was wondering about why he had such a heart. I think this book is read in the Christmas season.

BR 2-01: Beauty & the Beast

"How could anyone love a beast?"(p.41)

I like this story because I know this movie of Disney. I think this story is going to make into a movie at an early date. I want to watch that movie because a Hollywood actress acts the role of Belle. Beauty has a pure heart and very kindhearted person. I like her, and I want to be a humane person like her. Also, Beast is a gentle contrary his look. We should not judge a person by how he looks.

Movie review: Cool Hand Luke

I watched a movie "Cool Hand Luke". This movie's story is about a man who breaks out of prison several times. The main character is Luke Jackson. He was arrested for being drunk and destroying parking meters, so he is sent to jail. While he does a stretch in prison, he gets along with a gang of convicts. He challenged a lot of things. First, he challenged Dragline who is serving a sentence in a prison to a fight with. Dragline was very surprised because Luke has never gave up. He likes Luke very much. Luke is very good at poker. He always wins even when he had bad cards. I thought he knows how to play and win at poker. Also, he is the life and soul of the convicts. He can show the convicts to finish their work early, and give them free time in the afternoon. He was liked by everyone. He breaks out of prison for the first time when he heard that his mother has died. He was caught, but he escapes again. Everyone who was in the prison camp thought he is a man with a lot of guts and they don't have such a spirit. I think Luke is a symbol of hope. They are envious of him.

The scene that left an impression on me is when Luke ate 50 boiled eggs scene. He has to eat 50 boiled eggs because he makes a bet. He could eat all boiled eggs thanks to Dragline. After that, he lied down on the table. I think he looked like Jesus Christ. He didn't believe in God, but he looked like Jesus Christ. I thought this is an irony. Also, he went to church and prayed on his knees when he has been on the run. He prayed even he didn't believe in God. I think he turns to God only in trouble.

Movie review: Glee 1st episode

I watched Glee for the first time. At first, actually I don't like dramas because drama has a story and a lot of episodes. So, I think I have to watch next episode. I watched Glee, however, I really enjoyed watching it.

The story is a musical drama. High school teacher Will Schuester who had belonged the glee club when he was a high school student at the same school takes over his school's glee club. He wants the Glee club to succeed in their performance. He collects member and Rachel Berry, Mercedes Jones, Kurt Hummel, Tina Cohen-Chang, and Artie Abrams try out to be singers. However, they don't get along with each other. When Will finds football quarterback Finn Hudson has a talent for singing, he thought Finn is a diamond in the rough. Finn was forced to join the Glee club and he is free to show his real self gradually. At that time, Will considers quitting his job because he finds a higher paying job to support his family, but he saw Glee club's great performance and got advice from his co-worker Emma, so that he decides to continue to teach.

After I saw this drama, I was very excited. I like Finn because he is so cool. He is a good-looking and nice guy. Also, he has a secret of his talent to singing, but he didn't like glee club. When he was singing at shower room, Will who is a teacher heard his song. Will brings out the hidden talent in Finn. When Finn was a child, he liked music and played the drums. He liked to sing with the gardener in front of his mother. I think he keeps his feelings under because he was in a fatherless family and he should be a good boy. I can understand his feelings because I am similar situated. He was freed to show his real self by singing and changes his mind. I was touched by his character.

In addition, I like music in this drama. Music makes me feel good. I was moved by the Glee club's singing. I want to watch more episodes and get more information about these actors. I recommend watching this TV drama. It is so fantastic!!!
